It is not hereditary. As if all those common sense natural fate explanations ever worked at all. No, instead the nails grow according to the angle in which they are cut.

@MarkOfTheDevil666 That's the simple way the doctors talk to ordinary (sheep) people. They just look "sharper" in their area, because the surface has curved inside the skin, because you have cut the depth unevenly. The depth means the difference between the top and bottom surfaces of the nail. And you cut the depth on the tip side of the box model of the nail, by holding the scissors like I showed in the video.

@MarkOfTheDevil666 What do you mean sharper on the bottom? Cutting the top shorter turns it inward and cutting the bottom shorter turn it upwards. I explained in the video that the angle depends on how much turned the nail is at the time of cutting. If it is turned say 40 ° downwards, then you have to cut the bottom that much shorter. The turning starts at the base of the nail and appears as a warp in the nail, growing towards the tip.

@P2GearsOfWar No you don't understand. If your nails grew in, you didn't cut them too short, you cut the short on top.

It's not hereditary, but some people are more susceptible than others. I get eczema so infection and ingrown toenails are a high risk factors. I had surgery the other day and it was painful as hell. I had 3 ingrown sections! I just wanna know how to avoid it again, so this is useful

@P2GearsOfWar No, people who get them more cut them in a steeper angle vertically. There are no risk factors. It is all an assumption.
