Ghosts 'n' Goblins arcade 1 life complete Pt. 1

Part 1 of me completing both loops of Ghosts 'n' Goblins on one life. This is the Capcom Classics Collection version which uses the World ROM on Capcom's emulator.

For those who accuse him of cheating and complain, please notice that this collection is based on World Set 2, and not Set 1. The main differences are the following...

1) The Red Arremers are much slower than in Set 1.

2) The Red Arremers take only 6 hits to die, while the ones in Set 1 take 12.

3) You can't make the dragon from Level 4 disappear, like you do in Set 1.

In any case, you have good skills. Congratulations.

Yes, I finally figured out how to do it without using the FE code, you have to get lucky and a get a few good items first, and as you said know where to find them.

No, I don't know what set I was playing on when I played it on MAME, I just simply started the game, and I got to the last level before the boss, I couldn't do that on the NES version

I've beaten both, and the NES version is a joke compared to the arcade version. The arcade version is far more difficult, it makes the NES version look like a walk in the park.

I have yet to see anyone beat the arcade version, (US or World Set one). The video you see here is set 2, which is far easier than set one, the main difference being that the Satans at the end levels attack at random and take far more hits.

Damn, any pointers on the first Arremer on Stage 3? It's the only one in the game that continues to give me problems! It's not _that_ bad because there's an armor shortly after, but it still causes me to fail more than it should this early in the game.

I have no idea how you manage to shoot it right as it lands behind you, if I try that, it dodges like every other Arremer in the game, and if I let it charge me, it always fires a bullet at me. And if I let him live longer than that, I'm f**ked..
