In this tutorial I focus mostly on using the glory of fresnel reflection to achieve a realistic reflective surface in Maya. I also talk a bit about the physics of light and how that correlates to shader settings.

    Window->Settings:Preferences->­PluginManager->Enable "mayatomr".

    Next time, use google to answer obvious questions.

  • you say its an area light in the last render..

    but you plug a ramp into the texture tab.

    Is there an area light introduced there or does it work as is?
