i dont open the garage because i dont want the neighbors to get flashed or for thieves to know i got a cheapo welder...btw .. look into getting a screen to block the flash from your peeps, a tarp will work

@steveo928 it was closed with just the side door open . i wear a high quality mask cant smell a thing with it on... im going to get sum 10gauge wire and GFCI -->(its like a hair dryer breaker, but bigger) and start welding outside for now on...

1) It's "fumes" not "gases" getting "sucked away", unless you're using MIG, in which case you don't want too much "suction", and
2) It's Extractor, or just say "Fume Hood" if the E vs O situation is such a spelling conundrum, and
3) The reason you're supposed to NOT use "just any fan" as your Fume Hood is because you're not supposed to create a FIRE and ELECTRICAL HAZARD in your shop. Those "Monetary Savings" mean nothing after getting cited for breaking the Fire Code.

wow huge differance maybe you could use some metal ducting so then you could connet to the fan in someway then just have the ducting running ontop on your table then havethe fan underneath
cheers saw

@sscustoms100 yeah, or I could use expanded metal for my table top and put the fan directly underneath it, that would be sweet
