Moose numbers in CT are low, however this female calf moose was captured from a helicopter and collared with a GPS tracking device as part of cooperative research project to monitor moose movements in CT. Unexepectidly the moose took a liking to us and even shared a kiss with one of the researchers. Moose are not known to be aggressive animals, but caution is advised during the breeding season and when females have young. Breath mints anyone!
