She was known as the only civilian eyewitness who testified during the Agrava Commission hearings about the Ninoy Aquino Assassination, which she stood strongly by her claim (on what she saw that fateful day) that it was one of the military escorts who pulled the trigger at the late senator. it's ironic that politicians know a lot about power khit c Marcos and yet only a housewife who knows nothing about politics knows the simple truth na with great power comes great responsibility. Sabi ng matatanda, mas mabuti pa nung panahon ni Marcos iisa lang siyang gahaman pero ngaun, wala n nga sya pero dumami ang gahaman sa position. Agreed. Back then, aside from Ferdinand & Imelda, cronies & military men were the ones abusing their power & influence.

Today, from GMA, the First Gentleman DOWN to the Barangay Captain & his squad of tanods, corruption & abuse of power are rampant!

Sadly, nakalimutan ng nakararaming politicians ang tunay na kahulugan ng PUBLIC SERVICE! Sa kasamaang palad ay naging SELF SERVICE na ang nakagawian!

I heard that ashtray story before and i think it might be true after all, marcos is too intelligent to plan such a lousy and messy plot, he knows how Filipinos would react if that happens. I think there will be no NInoy and Cory if there's no president like Apo. I just don't know 'bout Imelda, I like her hair though! hehehe.

Marcos didn't have to lead the plot himself. He's got plenty of his top brass at the corridors of power; waiting for him to die from illness. It's a fact that there's a power struggle between Imelda Marcos, Fabian Ver, Juan Ponce Enrile and Fidel V. Ramos.

I'd say, there will be no Ninoy and Cory if Apo didn't become greedy for power & prestige. Had martial law not been declared in 1972 and let the natural course of events take place (1973 elections), his legacy could've remained intact.

The movie JFK by Oliver Stone is NO joke. The book 1984 is LESS fiction. Cooruption will not go away. Unfortunately, as long as there are evil doers with evil hearts , they are just plain greedy ( it is all about money and power.) It is no different in any country now.
