ford develop they hybrid system themselves and it was similar to toyotas so they just decided to license toyotas tech. it was never a copycat also ford has the most patents for hybrid tech than any other car manufacturer

I didn't feel any "hybrid like" braking when i test drove this vehicle so i would say that the 2010 Ford Fusion has completely solved the hybrid riddle. Kudos for Ford creating such great cars these past few years
