Tropical storm Hermine is bringing the rain to Round Rock. This is brushy creek near Hairy Man and Sam Bass before the rain and after! More rain expected---
thats not even close to how high it actually got. I bet the water level was close to that deck. the bad flooding occurred at about 2:30 in the morning.
yeah this video was taken at 6am. We have a chain-link fence that is even with the deck and it had a bunch of trash smooshed on it.. most of the flooding happened on the other side of hairy man where the trail is located though.. I'm amazed how high the water got and the damage!! I've never seen Brushy Creek lake (parmer @ brushy creek) as high as it is now either- all the way up to the bridge!
@max24ist thanks, and we're are most fortunate to be on a hill still in a dry home.. The creek rises FAST, and turns into the grand rapids when it rains- simply amazing! This is the highest it's risen since we've been here since '97!
yeah my parents live farther down the creek on sam bass rd, so not far from where this was shot. it was pretty incredible how high it got, hopefully it doesnt happen anytime soon again. thanks for the video

@deborahdmcnair
From what I've read, it was houses along lake creek in that got the brunt of the flood in Round Rock...
