K.Asif kept Madhubala in ragged clothes and chains for hours prior to the shoot of this song so that her pain would be real on her face so that the audience wud feel extreme sorrow for her...perfectionism

there is something atmospheric about the original version, the remastered one is nice, but it lacks that depth and emotion of this original soundtrack, zabardust..... lata, definitely one of my all time favourites
