I grew up watching USA's Tuesday Night Fights. The Final Broadcast was in August 1998 live from the Blue Horizon in Philadelphia. Near the end of the show, they played this tribute video including such fighters as Vinny Paz, George Foreman, Raul Marquez, Fernando Vargas, Chris Byrd, Bronco McKart, Pernell Whitaker, Dana Rosenblatt, Charles Brewer, Mark Johnson, Rocky Gannon, Michael Carbajal, Mark Gastineau, and of course the broadcasting duo of Al Alberts and "The Champ" Sean O'Grady.

DISCLAIMER - I do not own this video. I taped it back in 1998.

  • 90s=last great era in boxing

  • Grandma and I watched this every tuesday night...Brung back memories.

  • Was so sad when this went off the air. Watched it for many years. The last 2 years of it, between 17-19, I'd smoke some weed and watch Tuesday Night Fights. But now we have Friday Night Fights on ESPN. Don't smoke weed anymore but still enjoy watching boxing.

  • this show some what kept boxing alive in the main stream as a weekly show. need some more programming like this one. espn is good but they don't show enough fights. they made it seasonal.

  • @tornadotp I was making a joke cause I thought he was using that thing as somekind of wacky training thing but found out he got hurt and felt bad. Much respect that he got back in the ring after that injury!

  • @sz42781

Vinny Paz? Are you sure about that? I spoke to him personally just last year and still receive emails from him. Are you sure you are not confused with someone else?

  • Ever since we first had Cable TV in the early 90's, My father and I would watch this show almost every week.

Man, I miss this show to death.
