  • Hmmm... This interpretation is rather fast and doesn't give the Romantic era feel.

  • @SubaybayUlat Well Anton Bruckner wrote "Allegro Moderato" which is usually 112-124 bpm. Now obviously the tempi will fluctuate here and there throughout the song so went ahead and I tapped the entire duration of the song out into a tempo-tap application and got the entire song's average tempo to be 111.46 bpm. Dr. Grives is amazing, he knows what he's doing. Just saying ;)

  • Tempo - well, it seems fast, but it works. Maybe we've got too used to slow versions (or even deadly slow self-indulgent Bernstein conducting performances!!!).

Plenty of food for thought and discussion.

  • Much too fast and without religious feelings, in my humble opinion... :-(
