This layout is the handiwork of my father-in-law, Don. It depicts the Alaskan railroad. He was inspired to construct it after visiting the real thing. He's a skilled cabinet maker and wood worker, and his new hobby really shows his craftsmanship.

It's N scale so the engine and cars are each around 3" long. The layout is about 9' long and 3' deep. Much of the mountain scenery is airbrushed right on the wall of the room. Thanks for the comment!
