no offense, actually getting an international driver's license is a lot easier than getting the korean driver's license. because no any other test is required for applying international driver license as long as you can scan the original license, picture, and signature paper to send it on internet. then you get it in a mail in less than one week. more than 150 countries will accept the international driver's license.

@shinny318 - Thanks for the info! An international drivers license probably is a little bit easier to get and covers more countries... but then you miss out on the experience of going to the Korean Department of Motor Vehicles...

From a foreigner's point of view... most foreigners here in Korea already have full time English teaching / editing jobs. Not only that, but we are constantly being asked to teach / edit / tutor / help / translate everything in English everywhere we go. On top of that, it's extremely difficult to find Koreans who are willing to help us learn Korean so that we can survive here. So... if the driver's license center wants to improve their test, they should hire someone to do it for them.
