Simply beautiful!

The music echoes vividly the music from the haunting 'cave scene' in Leone's 'A Fistful of Dynamite' ('Duck You Sucker'), when Juan discovers his murdered family. Even the flute figures are virtually transplanted from that scene (unless it's the other way around - I don't know which came first!). Morricone does this a lot -- he reinvents a piece from one movie for the soundtrack of another.

Does anyone know who wrote the beautiful lyrics to this song?

This is my favorite of all the things I have heard from her. Such a concentration of beauty and deep feeling!
Such beauty, artistry, style, and talent!

I really like this recording. I don't understand French, but I love the stylish composition and melancholy sound of it. Of course Mathieu is an expert singer and brings it to life
