Thanks so much to TENTEN012297 for the suggestion on a song for joe and lexi. Awesome song! Im totally gonna keep it in mind. Guys if you have on any suggestions on a song for joe and lexi just tell me. Im going to use it later in the story but I want to see what you guys think! =] Tell me if you like this way better or not. thanks for reading! Now on with the story!!!

Lexi had gotten her make over. She got back about 10 minutes before the show started and the auditorium was packed. She made her way backstage and went down to the dressing room to find Joe and the boys. She knocked on the door and Joe answered.

Joes jaw dropped. "babe. You look, amazing!"

"you like?" She asked spinning.

"I love it!" He gave her a kiss. "You ready?" She nodded her head yes.

"theres a couch for you to chill." Kevin said jumping up and down trying to calm his nerves. "Gosh Im ready to throw up!"

"gross." Nick said giving him a disgusted look. "We better get going."

They made their way over to the stage and when they walked out the crowd went crazy. The boys were so excited to come back to their old high school.

"WOOOHOOO!!! Its so good to be home." Joe yelled into the microphone.

"guys we are excited to share some of our new songs and some unreleased material just for you because you have been so supportive." Kevin said. "so lets get started."

They played KIDS OF THE FUTURE, YEAR 3000, UNDERDOG, SOS, HOLD ON, and now were on their last song.

Nick went over to the piano. "so I decided to play this song first here to you guys. [ok maybe not true but in this story it is! Lol] if you dont know already I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes a while back and this song is exactly how I felt going through the experience. I didnt only write this with me in mind but also a great friend. Alexis can you come out?"

Lexi walked out dumbfounded because she had no idea what was going on. Joe smiled at her the whole time. Nick signaled her to go sit with him on the piano stool.

"What are you doing?!" She said wispering to him but keeping a smile on her face for the audience.

"Just listen." He said. "Lexi here is joes girlfriend."

"Yeah. Im lucky huh." Joe added.

"Anyways. She has been going through a tough time lately and I truly admire how strong she has been through all of this. She has really been there for me and I would like to thank her with this song. Thanks lex for being the big sis I never had." He said smiling. He began to play A LITTLE BIT LONGER.

As nick played the piano with so much emotion lexi began to cry. Every word that nick sang hit close to home for her. She was glad to know that she had nick to help her out. At the end of the song. He gave her a hug and they held each other for a while. There wasnt a dry eye in the room. She got up and made her way over to Kevin. She hugged him for a while and then got to Joe. she kissed him and cried even harder into his chest. He held her while she composed herself.

"I love you." He said trying to clean the mascara lines running down her face.

"I love you too." She gave him one last kiss and Joe grabbed the mic.

"My beautiful girlfriend everybody!" He said. "Lets give her a round of applause." Everyone stood up and applauded for her. She blew kisses out to the audience and made her way backstage. She went to the bathroom and wiped her face. Her make up was totally ruined and she began to reapply it when she got a huge sharp pain in her head. She held herself onto the sink waiting for it to go. Once the pain subsided she went back to the couch backstage and sat down. She watched the boys say their last goodbyes.

"So? Whatcha think?" Nick said smiling at Lexi.

"It was beautiful nick. Thanks." She gave him another hug.

"What! Why does he get all the credit?" Joe asked. "I was the one that told him to sing it to you!"

"Aww. Thanks cuppycake!" She said laughing and giving him a hug.

"Cuppycake?" Nick and Kevin asked giving Joe a look.

Joe cleared his throat. "You guys heard wrong." he said trying to play it off.

"Nu-uh!" Lexi said. "You didnt tell them that I call you that?"

"No. he didnt." nick said laughing. "Care to elaborate?"

"What? Yeah be right there?" Joe said pretending he heard someone call him. He grabbed lexis hand. "Come on babe we have to go to the car." He ran off with her.

"Gosh. Hes weird." Nick said.

"Come on lets go eat. Im starving!" Kevin said.
