wow. from 6 seconds to 11 seconds, mccready is playing the intro to a then unknown song called river of deceit.
-
Nirvana played one of their best gigs ever here less than 2 weeks later (and one of their first with davey g). and i think pearl jam played their first show a week or so after that. I'm pissed beyond belief this place got closed down.

this is pure gold!!!!!!!!!!

I bet all those people in the crowd didn't imagine this would go down as one of the best songs of the 90's!
-
it didnt get closed down, not untill at least 2002. and, give Chris a Break. He was memorializing his roommate. We are fortunate to see the song in this form. Temple of the Dog, nor Pearl Jam didnt eally exist

This is some awesome footage, from a historical perspective. Chris is clearly having some pitch problems..and Eddie's vocals are sadly missing, of course...but it's really neat to see what I assume was the first performance of this song. Which is just an epic song by any yardstick! Thanks so much for posting this! Great stuff!

@fluttergirl1 Yes, that's Chris, and I have to say, this is a little immature without Eddie.

@Blueledbetter1 hahahahaha... i just realized that i posted that comment on the wrong vid...it was supposed to be on a cover..Chris Cornell is my fav!

@Aceshaw thats funny ibet it makes alot of people wanna shoot you in the face as well

@BigFish1023 definitely chris with no eddie but the song definitly works better as a duet
-
toys, yes, but the mad season album wasn't released till 1995, so it was a surprise to hear him play the intro at this show.

I can't see it very well, but I think I only see one person singing - probably Eddie. This is a duet and it looks like Eddie is singing Chris's part here too, which is out of his range. That is the big pitch problem... I think this is just a live performance by Pearl Jam and not Temple... right?
