  • the enterprise was purely a prototype to test the gliding and landing capabilities of the future fleet. it did not have engines. however, i could have possibily been refitted to be flight worthy. wouldnt it be great for the final shuttle launch to be the enterprise??

  • It would be a dream come true to see the Enterprise go into space.

  • You'd figure NASA could do better than 240p..

  • I played hookie from school to watch this. They gave me one day's detention. It was worth it.

  • would you sign up to be this test pilot?

  • @websuspect LOL, can't even calculate a 747 Test Vehicle's speed and altitude in releasing the Orbiter Prototype and you want to talk about "TCO" LOL! Pray tell how would the same shuttle "launch at Mach 2 and 60,000 feet"? Too much watching "Superman Returns" eh?

  • i'm ready for another star trek tv series and movie to be about anything else but enterprise... (not that their's anything wrong with enterprise however)

  • @Duncan038 Thx for the info! :)

  • Its falling with style

  • It's falling with style

  • Lets make sure that history never forgets, the name.....Enterprise - Captain Jean Luc Picard

  • @RemcoM013 You are correct , although if it was needed , it COULD have been made space worthy...however they found it was more cost effective to ugrade the structural test vehicle into what became Challenger , , my mistake there....
