I spent 9 days in Tortuguero, Costa Rica with a Sea Turtle Biology and Conservation course that I was in this summer. We helped record nesting Green Sea Turtle data while accompanied by Research Assistants working for the Carribean Conservation Corporation. I took this video the last morning I was there because I had absolutely no pictures of the amazing turtles I had been working with the past week. At night you are not allowed to take any lights or cameras on the beach so I woke up before sunrise to go find a late-night nester to get some photos and footage of when the sun came up. It was an amazing experience to work with these awesome animals and I greatly appreciate the work Archie Carr did and now the CCC is continuing on Tortuguero for public relations with these endangered ancient nomads.

This video shows how the mother turtle carefully camoflages her nest chamber before making the treck back to sea quite exhausted... :D
