Wouldn't you want acceptance?

  • I used to have very bad TS, but over time it slowed down. Now its just an occasional throat clearing here and there.

  • @manomow How old are you? And what did the doctors rate your severity as? Jw. There's a huge spectrum of severity when it comes to tics. Most ticcers severe tic days I would consider a mild day for myself. For it to slow down so much that it's just a throat clearing is pretty good!!!! More like, amazing! The fact mine got more severe with age is what's rare about me.

  • @jaydy11 Im 14. I was diagnosed at 6. I dont know what the rating was but it wasnt really "severe", it was just a major disturbance to the class and people around me. And later, I found that it was linked to stress, so Ive let it out in other productive ways.

  • @manomow Ohh okay, well that's awesome that you're calmer now!

  • No, one thinks you're faking it. TS is real.

  • @natedaug1 I wish I was faking so I could just stop!!! Thanks:)

  • @cjckiko1 Eh, Im not much of the athletic type. I just suppress it in with soda and skyrim now.

  • @jaydy11

I've had it for 20 years. I'm 30 and it comes and goes - depending on stress and external stimuli. However, my OCD and ADD problems have increased. Which, from my observation with an older relative who has TS, is the case. Co-morbid conditions are more subtle, but can be equally as debilitating as the initial onset of TS.

  • @manomow I ran cross country to relieve the excess energy and stress.

Now, cardio is my best friend :)

  • I like to think of my tourettes as my asshole filter. All the friends I have are pretty amazing. I'm 24 and I still tic a lot. For my age it's pretty severe, although it's been pretty bad my whole life. It has calmed down enough to function. I hope you're does the same.

  • awwwwwwwwwww! <3 im into conditions like this so just searched up random conditions and came to this. i just have to say you are amazing! :D i wish u the best cause i understand. reminds me the the hbo documentary: i have tourette's but tourettes doesnt have me. this is an outstanding video and im sorry to hear u have this condition. god bless! :) i really wish u the best.
