severe thunderstorm July 7, 2007 Sheridan, WY

A surprisingly severe thunderstorm (especially by Wyoming standards) hit Sheridan on July 7th. It had very heavy rain (1.76 inches in one hour), quarter size hail, and 80 mph winds gusts. Numerous trees down, some powerlines and flooding downtown.

I was out in the middle of this when it hit, what a powerful storm, took out so many trees! Had a bolt hit half a block from where I was, my ear hurt for 6 months after that! lol... awesome.

The word used to describe the situation is "WAS". BTW, I do plan on staying a winter if I have to when I take a teaching job up there.

I was gonna say "sissies" compared to some of the ones in Texas, but at least you guys didn't go through what O'Donnell did in 1996 and Woodson did a few years back.
