RC Car controlled over WiFi using an Arduino, a WiShield and a TCP socket application.
The Arduino and Visual Basic .NET code can be found on our blog: http://blog.tkjelectronics.dk/2011/02/wifi-controlled-rc-car-with-the-arduino/

  • is the arduino uno r3 good? sry I'm green in electronics :/

  • @TotallyRandomGaming Yes, the Arduino Uno is a great starting point to get started with embedded electronics development

  • Yes I mean IP camera.

No, I hacked some wires into the RC car circuit. You can read more about the modification on our blog.

  • i already start looking for the arduino but my build is for recon..I have a wired webcamera, how do you recommend to connect the webcamera to the arduino bot and transmit the signal to laptop so that i can view and controll the rc car via laptop..? if you have any idea, can or not PSP 2000 be a viewer and the controller of Wifi RC Car?

  • @raxaxaganaz The webcamera can't be connected to the Arduino - it simply isn't powerfull enough. You would have to buy an Ethernet camera and then add a router to your robot.

That would be my best idea to complete this project.

  • Would the WIFI sheild allow you to connect a webcam wirelessly?

  • @possum19901990 No, you can't connect a webcam to the WiFi shield, nor to the Arduino. The Arduino is not fast enough for handling the camera - you need some kind of ARM processor etc. to do this job for you.

  • @mindthomas Thanks

  • @echo1753 Sorry, Youtube makes something with the links when splitting the line.

Please go to the link in the video description instead :-)
