MtMom demonstrates how to turn the heel of a hand-knit sock with Priscilla Gibson-Roberts' short row technique, using YOs instead of wraps or pins. Part 3 shows the decreases again, and how to resume knitting in the round.
I'm new at knitting socks and your instructions helped me so much! This technique gave the heel the smoothest look, you explained it so perfectly and the join back into the round finally looks great on my sock.
Just attempted and failed a short row heel. This was helpful, but I do wonder if its worth all the effort. Heel flaps were working fine for me. Somehow this appeared so smooth and easy. Heck, the sssp and k3tog with all the slippings and twistings, I can't keep it all straight.
I had found a completely undecipherable pattern using YO short rows to form a toe pocket starting with a provisional cast-on. The photograph showed deliciously smooth heels and toes -- just what I wanted -- but I couldn't begin to figure out the jargon. Seeing you do it was the answer. Thank you!
Trying to knit Charlene Schurch Serendipity sock and could not have done the heel without your videos. Thanks so much. Very well done.

I have the book "Simple Socks" but I could never have finished my heel without the help of these three videos. Thank you.

Excellent set of videos. I'm determined to master this PGR technique, although I still think I prefer my own short-row method.

Very instructional and helpful. I liked the first two parts, but the second part needs close ups of the work.
