FOO FIGHTERS GROHL BECOMES A DAD

Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn welcomed their new daughter, Violet Maye Grohl, who was born at Cedars Sinai Hospital a week ago (April 15). She weighed in at 6 pounds and 15 ounces and was named after his grandmother.

According to a statement, father, mother and child are happy, healthy and "up to (their) ears in green sh--s [you know what]." The couple originally wanted to keep it private, but drummer Taylor Hawkins accidentally let the cat out of the bag. Hawkins said that he has nothing but respect for his mentor.
