Here's what seems to be the daily intermodel, northbound CSX Q-192 making its way into the south end of Opelika, Al on its way north toward Atlanta, Ga.

Enjoy!

  • dang you see a lot of UP stuff!

  • More CSX than UP but there are alot of their units around these parts.

  • excellent as usual! whats the deal with the psychos running the crossing? saw the same thing in your other vid.

  • It seems to be more common than not. I'm very wery of setting up too close to the crossing in case they misjudge the distance & get smacked. I'd hate to be the one that caught the after effect of their stupidity.

  • Sweet video!

  • That person in the car could get hit if that train came to close.

  • Search AL Railfan on google. When I go down to AL to visit family, i search that, and found some.Nice video

  • WOW! That is interesting. Never heard of it. Now I know what it is. Thank you.

  • My fault, DD = Defect Detector.

It basically scans the train for an assortment of defects then transmits it's findings via a radio signal. This one also tells train speed, train length and axel count.

  • Also, how did you find that frequency? I have never thought about that.
