Do you have your priorities in the right order? Or have you forgotten something?

  • Great job Mr. Myers. Keep up the great work on getting out the message of hope, peace and rest.

  • A person can disagree about anything but that will not change it's truth...

  • @truthsabre7 I disagree, and so does the Bible. Romans 13:10, "Love is the fulfillment of the Law". Matthew 22 states that the two great commandments are loving God and loving your neighbour. This does NOT mean that Sabbath should not be observed, nor does it mean we can dispose of any of God's other laws at our convenience. What it DOES mean is that God's priority is love, and that He despises those who are "luke warm", even if they keep the Law. (Rev 3:16). LOVE is the test commandment.

  • @mikevoter Did Paul or Peter abolish "you shall not murder"? How about coveting, which Paul calls idolatry? Did Paul or Peter revoke the command to honour your mother and father? Peter's comment about the Law being "a yoke of bondage" was against the Pharisees, whose own traditions had superceded the Law of God and were, indeed, quite impossible to keep. Read Acts 15 from the beginning. You'll find it was the Pharisees who were pushing for the keeping of THEIR law.

  • @laxisusous Absolutely wrong. Read Genesis 2:3. God sanctified the Sabbath thousands of years before the Jews even existed. Adam and Eve kept it before the fall. Acts 16:3 records that Paul (a Jew) and Luke (a Gentile) kept it. Mark 2:27 records Jesus saying "And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath". Note what He did NOT say. He did not say "The Sabbath was made for Jews", He said it was made for man. Gentiles are part of mankind.

  • what about # 6, you shall not kill/murder.

  • The bible consistently shows that the Sabbath is a sign to demonstrate God's relationship with the nation of Israel. Only Israelites were to keep it. Ex 31:13-17; Ezek 20:12

Anyone who says that the Sabbath is required for non-Israelites is violating the Torah and is sinning.

  • Amazing and just what I needed to hear, anyone can try and argue these words and scriptures but the fact is myself being a sabbath keeper without a congregation still has had the much needed rest and time away from worldly things to keep my heart and mind in line with what I am commanded to do and follow in life, if I dont follow it I am depressed and bad things happen I truly believe you can fight these things all you want but you letting Satan affect your life so will add discord and sorrow b

  • @mikevoter : yes that's convenient ! Didn't Jesus say : I did not come to abolisch the Law ?

  • God has not allowed the integrity of His word to be distorted with time. The Sabbath is a blessing and a delight to our family and has helped us to build our relationship with our Heavenly Father.

  • Remember the age of the Bible and the number of translations its been through, we are misinterpreting, mixing up, and twisting much of what is being said. We need to use our heads even when it comes to religion, especially when it comes to religion, if it doesn't feel right deep deep within your heart, it is not, despite the bible's words. God speaking to use everyday all the time just listen and stop shoving that book down your throats.

  • The greatest commandment; Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved."

This is the greatest because it gives righteousness and life to believers, something that the LAW cannot.

Both Paul and Peter called the LAW a "yoke of bondage" that no one can endure.
