Christopher Lee was so handsome and sexy (even with the beard lol)

I'll argue that this is Hammer's BEST! Class all around with a superb cast! Too bad Cushing is not in this to make it over the top!!!

Great post arguably hammers best film

I saw this as a teenager. I thought the main bad guy's name was the less sinister sounding McCarter.

@Blisterdude123 totally, and for it's credit, many non-fictional aspects integrated which have not been done without 'blood and guts' since.

@MrUnidyne Not quite so simple, it was based on a book by Dennis Wheatley so I think its fair to give it a *little* more credit than that?

Christopher Lee as the protagonist still looks absolutely evil.

People of all these well known religious backgrounds all meeting to worship SATAN!!
Chris lee is great as a good guy, the cars and sets are wonderful and the script ny Richard Matheson is much tighter than the book. Terence Fisher returns to Hammer after a falling out and creates a cult classic. Overshadowed by THE EXORCIST and ROSEMARY'S BABY today, it was made prior to those films and deserves to be rediscovered. Thanks for this!
