To be fair, InDesign isn't a Word Processor, though it is superior for composition and formatting. There's value in both Word (or Open/Neo Office if you prefer freeware) and InDesign as they both have significant strengths.
Kudos for the video... stoked on a real tut and not another template-spam video! Getting raw info has been aggravating. Thanks!

I just got finished doing Technical Consultant work on a book for a major publisher. All of the drafts came in word.

I have been enjoying your helpful newsletter for several months now and after getting comfortable with e-publishing, I'm now ready to print publish with help from your tutorial and template. Thanks! ~Naima Haviland

@lamajnpa9 Are you a Writer or Designer? as a WRITER, I'm interested in getting my meassage out there - as a DESIGNER I'm interested in typography - two different disciplines.
As much as I agree both are important - If I had a choice, I'd rather be told that the words meant something as opposed to 'it looks good'...
But. using WORD instead of a dedicated desktop publishing program (i.e. InDesign) is like using a spoon to build a house!
And the result is always ugly, and a huge decline in the overall aesthetics and readability of the "printed word."

@lamajnpa9 Thanks for your comments! Have you used InDesign to publish your books? I have used this template to publish several books and have been pleased. You can also consult with book designers for a more professional look, which I recommend. ~Shelley~
