I found 5 dosimeters with some brown (chips off) stain where they have laid for the past 12 years -- but when put on the charger they worked (rezeroed) but, do you know what the brown covering is?? They were always doubled bagged and had moisture bags -- they are like new , except for the film covering!?
You did a wonderful job of trying to place the camera on a good angle to see the dosimeter. I wonder now how hard it would be to "charge" the dosimeter to zero while holding a camera at the same time. ;) I can hardly do it myself.
Hi , no you can't use it for prospecting Uranium , you need a Geiger counter . A dosimeter is used to know the radioactivity exposure days after days .Thank you , Fred .
