Lake Como Road in the Sangre de Cristos is regarded as one of the roughest in Colorado. Hikers, accessing fourteeners Blanca and Little Bear peaks and Ellingwood Point, hate it. Extreme off-roaders love it. We took a ride up it in mid-September, to see what all the fuss is about. Definitely not the "Worst" one out there, but it takes a skilled driver who knows their rig and their limits to do it no matter what you're in. Good driving man; you know your rig.

I wouldn't say hikers hate the road because it's rough... it is long though. And it turns many a would-be off-roader into a hiker. :) They might hate it for showing them the bitter truth of their stock Jeep's inadequacy.
