just saw the unsung special and did not know she passed.Sad that her death didnt garner more attention media-wise.Listened to her music since childhood and felt her joys and pain through her music.We were blessed to get a glimpse into her life and she will truely be missed but never forgotten!!!

A powerful vocalist who didn't get the accolades she deserved. Vesta sung backup for Chaka Khan and if you listen to her records Vesta was an octave or two below Chaka. When this song came out, Lord Jesus did I cry. Ladies, it happened to me too. When you give a part of yourself to someone, you can't get that back. "Why was I the last to know? I thought we were special." Child, this was a song!!!!! This is the kind of song that comes from true heartache. RIP
