Louisville, Ky disc-jockey. Record released in May, 1980. Gary Burbank was the drummer for the nationally known Memphis group, the Mar-Keys. He also had been a studio musician in Memphis for several years and had recorded with the Bill Black Combo, Ace Cannon, Rufus Thomas and Booker T. & The M.G.'s. In 1968 Gary came to Louisville as a D.J. at WAKY radio and remained until 1973. In 1976 he became D.J. at WHAS radio where he remained until 1980. In 1980 Gary recorded this novelty record which was based on the popular television series "Dallas". "Who Shot J.R.?" was written by Gary Burbank and Louisvillians Ron Reed and Ed Vanover.
