  • About the battery life, did you have the normal battery or were you using their "extended" battery?

  • @BruckThatsMe | I did a "worst-case scenario" test.

I used 'high performance' mode and heavy internet use

    - I got about 1hr 20mins with the normal battery.

    - I got about 4hr 30mins with the extended battery.

It's in part 2 of my review

  • hey, where can i get a moving desktop background like that? thanks

  • @1000Errors | It's called Aura Flow...and you need to download 'Deskscapes' to run it. (Google is your friend ;) )

  • where is the second part of this review and what are the temperatures like with the i7. I have heard that the 17 with i7 gets really hot

  • @dawgs9845 |

Check my videos for part 2...i only gots 2!

And yeh, the thing can get pretty darn hot (at the vents). Check part 2 for actual core temps.

  • @242v242 i love this device the only problem is that it has a bad battery life

  • what's good about having 3d? It costs like 300 bucks more and u have to wear glasses, isnt that just a rip off?

  • why is the 6GB DDR2 ram @ 667MHz Disappointing?

  • Is the LogicBuy a safe thing??? I was looking and they have BIG discounts! Like 400USD...what you think??

  • where do you know, your ram speed just 1,033MHz? i wanna check mine too...

  • the envy 14 has a battery adapter than gives it twice the life, does the 17 have that and how much? The 17 has 2 models, does both have 3d, thanks

  • i have the envy 17, with 1tb harddrive, 1gigabyte ddr5 videocard and corei7 @ 2.66 ghz :)

  • @thirdee31612

The 3D model already has an i7 but you can upgrade.

    Processor options:

    2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM (2.0 GHz, 6MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 2.9 GHz

    Included in price

    2nd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2820QM (2.3 GHz, 8MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.4 GHz

    +$400.00

And YES - you must buy THEIR glasses -- the 3D depends on their electronics in the glasses.

Extra ones from HP are about $100 each, Amazon has other brands, even 4-packs for less.

  • @xAweeZx Yes backlit

Keep in mind that the G73 weighs twice the Envy, I suppose. IMO, I'd go with the Envy ( having same specs as Asus), sleek design, i just love it.
