488 yard shot. I missed once but that was my bad, not the gun. I use Christensen Arms 300 win mag and hold 2.5 inch 500 yard groups in practice.

@SuperJohnny520 It is a Burris signature series 4 x 16 with the Ballistic plex reticle. On my 300 it works out at 16 power the gun is on at 200 yards then 300,400 and 500 all match up on the other 3 cross hair hash marks. It all changes if you adjust the power setting. Even at 16 power the bear was very small in the scope.

Well, the Challenge is trying to controle your excitement when your heart beat is pounding in your ears. People who dont Hunt will never understand that and I will not try to convince you now. The Department of Wildlife issues tags for these animals to keep the numbers in check. It is wildlife managment. If they didnt, you would almost never see a moose, Elk, or deer for that matter. Nature is not perfect.

And Yes. I did eat the bear, It makes good hamberger :)
