last.fm music taste map time lapse

A very, very quick and dirty video showing the "progression" of my tastes in music from the time I started using last.fm up until now. Map is by "ntamas" and my listening data was sampled from the weekly snapshots in intervals of two months starting April 2006.

Interestingly you can see in this video that my tastes in music haven't changed much at all. I am very slowly venturing into the ambient/electronic/noise area and moving away from grunge/soft-rock but its very hard to make out because they are very "close". Perhaps a better way of showing this would also take into account the amount of each artist listened to instead of just the position on the map and/or would zoom in on the area of interest.
