Photoshop - Fashion image comping

Take a studio shot model and place her into a location shot. Steps taken during retouching process: Colour corrections, body sculpting, skin smoothing, masking, burnt edge photography styling, sharpening, drop shadow.

To answers a few of the questions:

• Gray layer was all layers merged, high pass filter applied, and blend mode set to overlay (I think). This is just another way to sharpen an image that I was playing with.

• Masks are made with a combo of paths (to make selection from) and calculations (for the hair mostly), then load path & and calculations alpha as selection to use as a mask.

• The skin retouch is just a cheap 1, blur and mask. Nothing fancy.

• Music is 'Breaks Co-Op' I forget which song.

yeah it's be great to have this at a lower speed or at least have step by step text explanations... what was the step where you had a gray layer (reduced contrast?) and you did something with that... a bit quick if you don't understand every step.

You don't show your masking technique. You already have your alphas made up. Would be nice to see your technique. Do you use channels or simple hand masking?
