It is the lyrics you are supposed to listen to. Not they way it is presented. Playing music such as metal takes much more skill, and is the major draw.

@ArmorOfGodMinistries hard rock is in ABSOLUTELY NO WAY demonic! Listen to As I Lay Dying. Their music is definitely hardcore, but it carries a message. How else are you supposed to reach out to metalheads??? that's how I got saved. I never listened to worship music. thought it was for fairies. But it was bands like As I Lay Dying that brought me to God. Don't call yourself a ministry if you're condeming things. that's God's job, not yours.

@listenmorespeakless 1 Cor 13v4 is one of the best verses in the Bible. I wonder if you agree that emotional literacy is one of the keys to being loving ? I sometimes hear people say, " I hate him" when they really meant, " I'm angry that he did that, I wish he wouldn't " or some say "stupid people" when they meant " I think they would get on better if they didn't do it that way but rather this way...". I think use of metaphor / name calling is best avoided, maybe Matt5v22 meant that ?
