D&D used some sets in the opening, but 90% of the episode took place in the study room, around the old study table. Remedial Chaos took place 100% in Troy and Abed's apartment, save for the tag which took place in the old study room.

I didn't say they fit the strictest standard for bottle episodes, chill out.

The D&D and Remedial Chaos episodes were not bottle episodes. They both used various sets.

I dunnoooo, one of the greater bottle episodes was on Stargate Atlantis, Season 2; one man (genius) stuck in the back of a small metal vehicle sinking to the bottom of an ocean

Furthermore, "Advanced Dungeons and Dragons," and "Remedial Chaos Theory," could both be considered bottle episodes. Each feature strictly the main cast with only 1 recurring or guest character in a set that they always use.

I'm quite aware. My comment conveyed the following message:

"While I commend the Family Guy producers for the bottle episode 'Brian and Stewie," that episode (and any episode of Family Guy for that matter,) is not better than anything Community has done, ever. I'd rather watch my least favorite episode of Community than my favorite episode of Family Guy.
