@MrU2kite For the iDrive we designed it not to record sound, for the simple fact that in most states its illegal to use in a court of law during an accident case or insurance claim. This unit is more for the protections of your monetary interests.

How is the quality when its dark outside?

The iDrive handles well in night conditions as long as you're using your headlights and in city lighting conditions.
