PSB and DM are 2 different kind of pop...DM are more closer to rock-pop, while PSB are more closer to synth-pop...in terms of charts, the PSB are more bigger...in terms of fame, the DM are more bigger

The Pet Shop Boys are great, and are gifted writers even more than performers.

I'm not sure why Depeche Mode were brought up in the comments, but it's unfair to the Pet Shop Boys, who while great are still nowhere near Depeche mode's caliber.

Old comment, but I must correct it for those who read it.

Clarke, Fletcher, and Gore founded the band, later getting Gahan as singer. They performed many times, including some of their later "Speak and Spell" hits, before trying to approach various labels (unsuccessfully).

Daniel miller eventually heard them and had them join his small new label. He didn't create them.

And his contributions to their albums was as part producer. He'd nothign to do with creating them.

DM are bigger for sure; PSB are 'simply' a pop group whereas DM evolved into a stadium synth-rock hybrid that conquered America. PSB are still better though, obviously.

Are you talking about the outdoor stadium that holds 80 000. or wembley arena which held 10 000 ? if its the later, they play the 02 because it holds 20 000. PSB never been a stadium band.

2 Nights at the 02 = 40.000 ppl.
