The drummer reminds me of the jazz legend Billy Cobham, my favorite jazz artist of all time, especially the album Total eclipse. Gong produced their music off planet and then traveled to earth to share their culture with our kind....

I first heard this years ago, shortly after i found my self of an age and time to be involved in the rave generation (and all the chemicals which lubricated it) And then discovering subsiquent bands influenced by gong This album is amazing for 1974, I also love camembert electrique. I've always considered gong a punk band. I've been going to glasto for the last decade or so and always make sure i catch gong whilst there.
