Heavy Snow 1/12/11

Bigtime snowstorm...while we got some 9 inches here in southern RI..some places not too far from me..had over 2 feet....there was even thunder reported at 430am this morning but not at my place....My CTRs were also show..and also..my old VHS-camcorder shown of which I used to videotape all of my Tstorm videos from 7/28/89 - 9/3/2000...many on YouTube.

Wowee...you really got a lot on tape...love to see your video once uploaded whenever you can have the chance to do it. Glad you had a nice morning today with the Tstorm..as for me..my dad broke his hip and in the hospital today..as he'd love to be your age again...he was...before WW II.

@LuvsTstormTapes yea :P not any bolts, (my stupid camera was sitill transferring) but later, I did get some nice flashes and loud thunder, and literal pools of water everywhere!!! 20 mins long. I have too much HW, and my mid-termsthis week, so next wkend Ill upload it, and about 40 other vids XDDD

@awesomelightning ~~~>woweee..Juju...you had a nice Tstorm so early in the year...and incredible on the mammatus clouds!!! BTW....I do have MY videos containing mammatus clouds....my 5/29/05-part 2 -video....my video from 7/1/09 and on 5/4/10. I'm glad you got some nice lightning....((were you able to videotape it??))... TYSVM for the nice compliments on DATES...I do have a phenomenal memory for dates and birthdays....my very specialty....TYSVM for the nice info on the lightning you had.

@LuvsTstormTapes How do you remember all those dates????? Also, how 'bout that front or sqall line passing over FL? I saw lots of lightning at 9AM!!! with mammatus!!!

I've been involved in Hospital Radio for 15 years. Should have kept some o'them discs coz I'm back there now after an 8-month hiatus...

@LuvsTstormTapes southern Vermont seemed to get mostly nothing!

And most of it seemed to be south central New Hampshire. Most of the ice I saw was on the Crotched Mountain campus. And my parents' place had pretty much nothing.

@awesomelightning~~>TYSVM, Juju....indeed..it has excellent sound quality of the thunder...even better than most of my modern camcorders....if only it was still working after 8/3/01...it would have been also used to videotape my monster Tstorms of 6/26/02, 5/29/05, 4/15/06, 7/18/06...and so on...with excellent sound quality and that camcorder is really excellent in capturing lightning bolts...big time....When first new..it was a $2000 machine compared to NOW only $200 for my latest camcorder...

@ChristLikeness100 ~~~~>Good to hear, Jen.... Do you remember what you had on your older Mini-Discs? Wonder if you had any videos of Tstorms on them??? Glad you're over your long health issues..... Anyways...did you see the part where I've mentioned I got over a cool 1000 audiotapes of LIVE Tstorms going way back some 35 years??? It is just like a museum of Tstorm tapes all over....and so much fun listening to them.
