Hammerax® gongs are forged from a bronze super alloy that is extremely tough. This allows hard hitting with mallets, but also opens up gongs to the world of drumming, allowing drummers to crash and ride these beautiful creations. Typical gongs live in the low-end spectrum, sending out a mix of bass and mid range waves. Hammerax gongs continue up into the high end, allowing surprisingly sweeping, silvery sounds, never before heard.

Performed by Andrew McAuley at Drum Channel.

  • i also have a 36" paiste symphonic gong - the Hammerax gong is more enticing & pleasurable to play !!

  • @ZILLION22 Thanks from Hammerax! These are very nice and frankly underpriced.

They also fit in a large cymbal bag yet have a big sound.

  • i would like to use this as a crash / ride cymbal !- Would Hammerax supply it with a drilled & mirror polished center hole to enable it to be mounted on a regular cymbal stand ?

    thanks ! ( without the frame & hoes for hanging ? )

  • @ZILLION22 Hello from Hammerax. These can be crashed as is while hanging. If a center hole were drilled the instrument would vibrate in a very different way and barely crash at all. We do make some very nice large cymbals though.

  • Best gong I've ever heard but what mics support such a unique sound?

  • @LukesDrumsOnline Hello from Hammerax. Thanks- we love our gongs too!

We can't remember the mics. It was recorded at Drum Channel so they were accurate.

We did not eq anything. We may do even thinner gongs soon. Watch our site.

  • @carcassgrindcorpsesc lol Believe it or not, I still have my hearing! For the first day of the shoot, one of my ears was actually popped from the flight to California so I think it may have helped out a bit. LMAO
