You are amazing. Period.

It was my first time in Portland last May. I had so much fun because of the friendly people and a large lesbian community. I discovered a pocket size caffe called Caffe Spella & a cute barista gal works there. I went there everyday during my stay there.
I absolutely enjoy the OR coastline so beautiful. Also it's a green state and no taxes. I'm going again for my birthday in August & anxious to go again.

Ah yes, I miss the days when I lived in Portland and attended PSU. You are certainly on point about the people/weather/bikes/communiti
es/trees etc, I miss it everyday but I live in Seattle (where I grew up) and love it here also so no regrets. :) Curious, why did you end up not going/living/attending school there?

sounds like holland to me..bike wise...you would love it Jess....definitely!!!!

LOL @ no razors and deodorant. Thats because of all the hippies. You should have come to Seattle. Its like Portland, but we use razors and deodorant (still rainy though). We have a large gay population as well as large Buddhist and atheist populations.

@msJumbie Portland: 81% white. Thats very high for a major city. And it's not that its mostly white people, its that it's mostly the same TYPE of white person (see: person in the video.) The constant mish mash of ethnicities, vibes, cultures, scenes, politlics, religions and style is something I will always miss about Los Angeles.

oh my god! you should totally go to school at PSU!!! I just moved to Portland 2 weeks ago and it freaking rocks! haha

@cannedkitty how in the hell is it missing diversity?

The PSU campus is amazing, I was just there today on my daily bike ride.

I was born and raised here in Portland and I absolutely love it...everyone here is super welcoming and just makes you feel good. The LGBTQ community is highly supported and we're the top rated most bike-friendly city in the US, which is great for bikers. I love everything about it here and also how diverse it is! And even though its rainy here, in the midst of summer it is gorgeous and warm... you should come back sometime in late July, early August:)
Sounds like a great place. Never been.
