The fact of the matter is the *nix/geek community is by and large a sausage fest, so it is an unfortunate reality for you to have to deal with gender-based prejudice. I don't really pay attention to your mammary glands, but obviously they are noticeable enough for others to do so.

If I were you, I would just keep doing what you're doing. The most constructive thing you can do to get haters to stop wasting your time like this is to thank them for their comments with a smile and move on.

Late to the Party, but those ID10T's don't do anything for the opensource community but deficate all over it when they act like that. That's the biggest issue in OpenSource AND the linux community is that it's not for everyone... ie SuperNerd clubhouse only.

Your contribution to the USER community is invaluable. I get all sorts of new tips from you, HACK5 and other vblogers.

Hey Nixie, I have watched most of your vids, and I must say, I enjoy it and watch it based on my mutual love for open source and Linux. I always try to keep in mind that people who judge others based solely on their outward looks must be pretty shallow and unhappy people. I'm here for the tech and geek talk, not the boobs. Personally I think seeing such an attractive female such as yourself in the primarily male dominated geek world is a nice breath of fresh air.

The question is: why dont call yourself a feminist? I am a guy, typically male, and I consider myself a feminist. Feminism however, is not something that is clearly defined and therefore some might view feminism as being against men, or against family etc. I view feminism as a movement that is for things. For equal rights for men and women, for equal pay, for freedom of women to decide over their own bodies. For as long women are being discriminated, like nixiepixel here, feminism is needed.

There are so many other people making videos, but I find yours easy to watch, listen and understand. When someone discriminates you based on how look, he's probably jealous at you being GEEKY+BEAUTIFUL.

They don't have the 'beauty' part of you and they get afraid of getting ignored. That creates jealousy and the natural reaction would be to try and scare you away.

But you should probably ignore them.

Point being: F them girl....yeah you're hot and cute and that's really rare in our world but it doesn't mean two shits....your source/kernel/root is what counts....and anyone who uses OS should know damn well that GUI is nice but its the Cmd line that matters!!
