Chris Isaak - Your True Love

From Chris' Beyond The Sun album. Photos and images in this video show Chris recording at Sun Studios in Memphis, plus some album artwork.

Chris recorded this album in 2011 in the same studio that almost 60 years ago saw Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and other legendary singers record their first songs.

The album features many of the songs recorded back then in Sun Studios (including this song, first recorded by Carl Perkins; Great Balls Of Fire - Jerry Lee Lewis; My Happiness - Elvis Presley, and many others) plus other songs made famous by those singers after they left Sun to record with major record companies, including It's Now Or Never - Elvis, Oh Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison; and Ring Of Fire - Johnny Cash. Chris also wrote a new song - Live It Up - for the album. Another new song written by Chris - Lovely Loretta - is included in the 2CD version of the album.

sounds more like Ray Condos cover more so then Perkins, that being said, still a great cover!

@johnnymccrowe Thanks for watching. I read an interview with Chris where he mentioned how much he likes the lesser knwon artists of the rockabilly era, so it could be he consciously worked in Ray Condo's version into this.

@ygram80 Margie, you have a treat ahead of you in discovering Chris Isaak's music. There are many of his videos on YouTube. Unfortunately, his record company block people uploading most of his songs. But this one sneaked past them! :)) I've also recorded and uploaded my own versions of two of his songs on my channel - Wicked Game and Blue Hotel.

@TheLivingroomSinger Thanks, Mark. I first discovered Chris back in 1987, before he hit big with Wicked Game, and I have been a huge fan of his ever since. His voice is still superb.
