A collection of photos belonging to my late Grandfather, Sam Warren. Sam was a member of the 156th Bomb Disposal Squad, attached to the Marines at the Battle of Iwo Jima. His squad swam ashore ahead of the main Marine landing to clear the beach of enemy land mines. These photos and documents come from his personal scrapbook which now belongs to my father. These photos and more can be found on my Picasa site, http://picasaweb.google.com/zacheryswarren/SamWarrenSWWIIPic?authkey=zeR2Rv8AKLo

My late father was a Navajo Code Talker with the 5th Marine Division and was WIA. Somewhere in the masses of destruction, obviously two young men from different cultures aspired for one thing from their Heavenly Father,... to return home. Its nice to know two out of thousands, have criss-crossed finally here on cyberspace. My dad would have enjoyed this short video of Mr. Warren. Thanks and Semper Fi
