The revival of the long awaited PHANTOM by Authur Kopit and Maury Yeston will be produced by Bill Stutler and Bob Funking, and starring Aaron Ramey and Kate Rockwell
Advertising clips on Youtube can be invaluable, esp. for stage shows that may otherwise be unseen by the masses. Mindful of this, the quality of such trailers should be professional and focused, reflecting the high caliber performances they represent: NAMES - Displayed consistently, not over facial features, not vanishing when head shots appear; DETAILS - Accurate/concise Ex: creation of phantom's mask isn't shown, but the actor's mask OF the phantom (disfigurement meant to be real, not a mask)
I also saw this production (it was wonderful!!) I still am partial to the ALW Phantom, but this show I think has a more soulfull and heart warming depth to it that the ALW Phantom does not have. This story seems to deal more with the father and Erik's relationship (wheras the Broadway version deals more with the relationship bewtween the Phantom and Christine.) I think it was an amazing show all in all, but there's just something magical about the ALW Phantom that no one can explain!
Saw the performance this past weekend. Amazing production and everyone in the cast was fantastic. I like the ALW production--all B'way flash, but this K&Y version and WBT's production of it is true musical theater. I would recommend anyone considering seeing it to do so soon, in case they don't extend it's run.
Alright! I was hoping to find out when it was playing, and where. This is great. Seems like I discovered this version of the Phantom just in time for it to come back to the stage.
