@KaneTheMessiah001 It is and it isn´t. If the main writers of Half Life ever had to contradict what happened in Blue Shift, Opposing Force or Decay they´d do it instantly so I guess it´s canon until or if they ever do: "I guess you will be able to identify as canon those story elements we continue to build on and develop and mention repeatedly as the story progresses."
Still, I don´t really count them.

Half Life:Best Game Series Ever.

@DonBozzieri Opposing Force is Canon, dumbass. The reason why Race X never saw Free,an was because they never got the chance to, he was in a different area and then he teleported to Xen.
-
@Doperwtje81 They made it canon because there was no reason to not make it canon. Opposing Forces was quite a good game, but it isn't canon, because they changed so much of the story (like Race X, for example).

I'm fairly certain Blue Shift is canonical however I do admit that the only evidence that I would be able to present is the Gordon Freeman sighting when you leave the tram.

@bleachangel8 Possibly it's just my opinion, I personally like the game, your entitled to your interpretation of the game and whether or not it appeals to you
-
@TheMGDCAcheivments Hmm... i guess you're right :D
-
@bleachangel8 unoriginal, your still treating it like a separate game, it's just half-life 1 from a different perspective it's supposed to be the same thing just different areas to play through.
@MrGoopy1 Lol I'd like to see you make a better review

Was Blue Shi(f)t actually necessary? You don't get more info on Barney, you don't get more info on Black Mesa; At no point in the other games does anything that happened here ever get brought up, so why even make this canon?
