Rock-n-Roll Animals was intended to be a feature-length documentary about guitarists Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner. Hunter and Wagner, most well-known for their extraordinary twin-guitar work on Lou Reed's Rock-n-Roll Animal and Alice Cooper's Welcome to My Nightmare, developed a playing style that saw the songs' lead and rhythm parts divided equally between them and that influenced a wide variety of legendary bands from Aerosmith and Thin Lizzy to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Iron Maiden.
I watched all 9 episodes and it was pretty good. I'd of loved to have heard more about the Detroit days at the grande ballroom and eastown theatre however. those places are legendary like the fillmore east and west.
