toshiba m65 -s821 LCD strange problem vertical black stripe

i have black stripe approx. 3-4" or so straight up and down on the right side of my display. this stripe is there from the moment i turn the laptop on. it isnt like if it was a cracked lcd because the line of black is perfectly vertical. any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

yes, LCD replacement is needed. luckily enough i fix computers for a living so it was very easy change out after i ordered and received the replacement LCD. otherwise it would have most likely been an expensive repair

solved this issue, hope it helps someone. new LCD replacement works perfect now. i guess some of the many connections for that side of lcd got broke and cause no signal. i purchced under 100$ online and installed very easily

i have the same problem, though its in the center of my screen. i just heard that the lcd is nonfunctional/damaged and must be replaced.
